– Athens, the capital of Greece and the place where I live and work
– Peloponnese, majestic land, rich in history and natural beauty and my land of origin
– Crete, the biggest island of Greece, known for its unique history and natural beauty, where I lived and worked for many years
– Cycladic islands (mostly Syros, Paros, Santorini, Naxos, Kea, Kythnos), famous for their unique, picturesque architecture, where I have been mostly working for the last few years
What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?
I have always been a curious person and this is the main reason that led me to leave Greece right after school and move to England for my studies. After 5 exciting years in England, I moved to Italy, my lifelong dream, where I lived and worked for 10 amazing years. My work in advertising, a very demanding environment with long working hours but, at the same time, very interesting and exciting, equipped me with so many new skills and knowledge, that it was absolutely worth the while.
The things I learnt in these 15 years that I lived abroad, the people I met, the places I saw, the ways of living I experienced, getting to know from so close two cultures so different between them and so different from mine, have deeply changed me. I discovered different perspectives that made me see the richness and beauty there is everywhere around us if we know how to look.
Moving back to my country after this experience, I had a new way of looking at things and I rediscovered a beauty that I had never really noticed in the same way before. Everything was new to me and things had a new value in my eyes.
I knew in that moment that I wanted to share this beauty with travelers from all over the world. And this is when I decided that I wanted to create trips to help travelers not only visit Greece but really see it, through the eyes of someone that had the joy of rediscovering the marvel of this land after many years.
My 15 year permanence in England and Italy for study and work purposes, as well as my frequent contacts and relations with the United States, where large part of my family lives, has formed my ability to consider people and situations from a different cultural perspective and has enabled me to gain a better grasp of the kind of experiences that a traveler would like to have on a trip.
My long working experience in advertising, on local and international projects, has strongly built my organization and time management skills as well as my ability to easily adapt to change and come up with alternative, efficient and reliable solutions.
My experience as a tour leader, mostly for groups of American and British travelers, has influenced my ability to sincerely listen and understand the needs and desires of people from such different backgrounds and has given me the flexibility to provide the best possible experiences to satisfy their individual tastes and requirements while still enjoying their group holiday.
Finally, my academic path in nature and wildlife conservation has enriched my love for the environment in a broader sense, from nature to people, animals, history, and has strengthened my love for my country and all the cultural, historical and natural richness there is in it.
To travel is to embrace the unknown, perhaps the ultimate life experience.
